Le PDF est le format à adopter si vous souhaitez envoyer des documents officiels ou importants. Pourquoi ? Parce qu'il permet de conserver la mise en page du document. Une fois que vous avez converti votre fichier texte en PDF, les images insérées, les espaces, la taille des caractères, des interlignes, ... rien ne bouge ! Vous pouvez ainsi envoyer votre document en étant sûr que la personne à l'autre bout de l'email verra la même chose que vous et ce, quelque soit le logiciel qu'il utilise pour visualiser ses fichiers.
PDFCreator fait partie de cette famille de logiciels qui utilise un système d'imprimante virtuelle pour convertir vos fichiers. Certains suites de bureautique comme Microsoft Office et OpenOffice permettent de réaliser cette opération. L'imprimante virtuelle de PDFCreator se greffe quant à elle sur tous les logiciels supportant l'impression. Un moyen simple et rapide pour créer des fichiers PDF depuis à peu près n'importe quel programme. La démonstration en images et avec AbiWord:
